GO-dining table by NW designs

The Go dining table was made by Nigel Whitton as his last piece as a student in Nelson, New Zealand at The Center for Fine Wood Working in December of 2007.
The piece was the next step in a design process that started with a contemporary take on a Chinese board game called GO. Despite its generous proportions the table has a lightness, without appearing flimsy. The tapered and curved ash and beech legs seem to lift the slightly curved table top effortlessly from its well grounded foundation.
The Table is made from American Ash and European Beech. It is designed as a 8 seater table with an over all length of 2.6 meters long by 980 mm at its widest point.
