Wingback Chair

The inspiration for this chair came from the negative space in a lectern Nigel made.  As the chair developed it grew from a hard intense piece to a soft tactile chair that welcomes and supports you.

The timbers were selected to achieve the twin goals of strength and elegance.  Maple legs rise from the floor to a strong and well founded seat, while the saligna back wings are designed to spring slightly as you relax into them.
